The last few days have been pretty uneventful. That doesn't mean they haven't been a success. We spent the last few days in Cambodia re visiting our favourite places and RELAXING. A strange concept if you are following our experience from home. Although we make it look like a really relaxing time, (which it is) the constant moving around and travelling in intense heat and trying to sleep in noisy cities really takes it out of you. But don't feel too sorry for me I wouldn't change this for the world. (which does sound ironic as its pretty much what I have)

The south of Cambodia and the islands were such a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. We spent an evening on a boat fishing with the sun setting in the background. I caught 4 jas caught 0 if you are interested. We also took another boat trip around the main three island in the south where we snorkelled, sunbathed and had a BBQ on the beach .(one of us caught the sun a little too much)

One town which we skipped on the way down as we thought we didn't have enough time was Kep. So when we realised we had plenty we decided to head back north and see whats what. On arrival we discovered that there was a reason we skipped over it. it was a lovely stay but there wasn't much going on. The highlight to our visit here e was that jas learnt to ride a moped. There's a lovely market and numerous giant statues of animals including a crab. Our hotel was on the edge of the Kep national park and although the scenery was incredible we were regularly joined by the creepy crawly cast of I'm a celebrity get me out of here. One of my favourite animals was the Gheko that apparently made it way into our room in the middle of the night and cost jas her sleep.

After all this relaxing we finally made the final journey back north to Phnom Penh for our last two days in Cambodia. We decided to go back to the same hotel we previously stayed in as it was cheap. At first this seemed a great decision as we were welcomed with open arms by the owner. But our smiles turned quickly when we were literally eaten alive by the bugs in our room. Which again cost jas a good nights sleep.

That pretty much brings us up to date. I wont go through our journey to Auckland because quite frankly it was torture. I will say that Bangkok once again proved to be an absolute bastard.

I'm writing this at 23:43 on 20/02/18 and haven't properly slept for two days. so I'm guessing it reads as bad as I feel. hopefully you get the gist.

time to get the next 12 months started.
